THE DUNKIN’S STORY
In Quincy, Massachusetts oversaw the establishment of Dunkin’ Donuts in 1950 by William Rosenberg. Its central aim was to get coffee and donuts for people who were in turmoil and hardly found the strength or time to grab a snack. Throughout the years, the brand has changed and comprehended the need for overseas expansion, but remained consistent in terms of its concept and practice.

Dunkin History
Dunkin’ Donuts has been in existence for over seventy years, with successive decades characterized by its growth diversification and problem-solving capabilities. Some of these events are illustrated in the images that follow in the next pages.
1948–1963: The Beginnings
The idea for Dunkin’ Donuts came about when the founder wished to provide the business with the best donuts and coffee for busy traveling clients. Due to Rosenberg’s visions, the first store opened in 1950 and in the next ten years the brand started making its beginnings in Massachusetts and beyond.
1963–1998: Tim Bob Rosenberg
Bob Rosenberg, the son of William, took the organization to the next level as it aggressively pursued its franchises. Bob changed the business model, concentrating on its growth which subsequently made Dunkin’ as an American favorite brand.
1998–present: Bob Rosenberg’s successor
Under the continued leadership of Bob Rosenberg, Dunkin’ expanded further, adding new menu items and leading refresh and rebrand efforts. The brand also adopted some digital in-store technology, added a mobile app, and introduced loyalty channels to connect with customers differently.
Dunkin’ Donuts Rebranding
